As part of an International Assistance Network, Euro-Center has been providing customer care to travelers abroad for the last 40 years. The first Euro-Center was started in Mallorca, established to provide local assistance to holidaymakers from Scandinavia. Today there are 10 Euro-Centers located strategically to provide local services worldwide.

Euro-Center China was established in 2005 providing customer care to expats living in China. The services we provide include local healthcare information, medical referrals, travel advice, logistics planning and act as the liaison between overseas insurance companies and local policyholders.  

Job Description

At our Beijing Office, we seek a Medical Assistance Coordinator that will be an integral part of our Assistance team, providing support to some of the largest multinational corporations in the world.  He or she will be a professional with a natural understanding of top quality customer service, who enjoys working with people and uses his or her well-developed decision-making skills to provide timely response to meet our customer’s needs. He or she is committed to be a team player, using his or her communication skills to develop an effective professional relationship with both our clients and our medical network.


Work experience: Knowledge and experience working in a call center/insurance company, ambulance service or emergency department of a hospital and Nursing or Physician Assistant’s background with at least 3 years of clinical experience would be an added advantage.

 Knowledge and skills:
Customer service orientation, attention to detail, quality conscious.
Excellent time-management skill, efficient use of resources.
Unrivalled communication skills (written & oral).
Ability to work under pressure.
Highly developed decision-making skill with a clear team player mentality.

 Language and IT skills: Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English, oral, written and comprehension. Additional language skills an added advantage. Computer literate and comfortable with IT applications.  

 Ability to:
Work systematically and effectively with staff, inter-offices, customers, external agencies and local service providers. Perform a primary triage of initial requests for assistance work.
Work independently to manage all medical requests from start to finish.
Liaise with medical providers and agents to complete a repatriation or evacuation request.

 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with emergency phone on-call rotation.
