JOB DESCRIPTION

As the General Manager you are the driver of the business in China – from sourcing and supply chain to the operation of the Shanghai office. You are responsible for leading, motivating, inspiring the team, and is skilled in building up trust, both internally and externally. You are a charismatic leader who is hands-on, business-driven and dedicated to results.

• Secure a profitable and compliant sourcing office
• Secure a best in class buying and negotiation strategy
• Secure a sustainable and efficient supply chain
• Cost efficient supplier management
• Manage the Production Office in an ethical and compliant way
• Develop and support efficient and high performing teams
• Be a speaking partner and provide HK with relevant info from the market
• Participate in creating business strategies and deliver according to plan
• Deliver the set goals and KPIs
• Make sure routines and compliance are followed
• Be part of the regional strategic work together with the Management group
• Manage cost and A&P budgets
• Continuously optimize the operating profit, including improving the efficiency

REQUIREMENTS

• Higher education in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years within sourcing, trading or other relevant industry, preferably in an international environment
• Solid knowledge of production and sourcing processes
• Action and solution driven with high integrity
• Strategic and agile thinking
• Good motivator and team player with ability to motivate team to top
• Excellent business acumen
• Strategic and analytical thinker
• Language skills: English in speech and writing
• Good communication and leadership skills
